IIMM Bangalore Branch organized a meeting with consulate General of Canada, Bengaluru on 30th June 2023 (Friday) at IIMM Office prémises. Office Bearers and N.C. Membres attended the meeting. Dr. Sengottaiyan Branch Chairman welcomed the guest Mrs. Rupa KN, Trade Commissionner / Déléguée Commerciale, Consulate General of Canada, Bengaluru with a bouquet.
Mr. G Balasubramanian, Co-ordinator made a présentation about IIMM and its Professional activities. Ms. Rupa K.N. Trade Commissionner, Bengaluru explained about the activitiés of Consulate général du Canada and expressed interest in collaborating with IIMM, Bangalore to bring expertise in sustainable supply chain and technologies, and also to give some programs to IIMM Professionals and Members that are mutually beneficial.
5th July 2023 – Webinar:
Indian Institute of Materials Management, and World Trade Center, Bengaluru, organized a webinar on ‘How to Choose the Right Valuation Methodology for your Company?’ on 5th July 2023 (Wednesday) (Zoom meet). Dr. P. Sengottaiyan, Branch Chairman welcomed the gathering, and Mr. Vivek George from WTC introduced the speaker Mr. CA Sreejit Kuniyil, Managing Partner, Capitaire Consultants LLP. The Speaker spoke on the topic and covered the session on Taxational and FEMA provisions that encompass valuation. His talk was very informative and he expressed that, most business owners fail to understand the various requirements that surround business valuation, which often results in the valuation report proving to be insufficient for their cause. This will have a significant/ negative impact especially if they are looking to raise funds. The program topic was excellent and well received by the Members and SCM / MM Professionals.
8th July 2023 – Workshop:
IIMM Bangalore Branch organised workshop on Effective Inventory Management on 8th July 2023 at Paraag Hotel, Bangalore. Senior Faculty of IIMM Mr. Jayaraman, Mr. T.S. Balachandran, Mr. Kamalendu Sith, GM of Gokaldas Exports, and Mr. Sudhendra Dankanikote, Managing Director of GILT Private Limited handled the sessions. About 30 delegates from various sectors/organisations attended the workshop. We received the very good feed back from the participants.

By V Krishnan .Tech (IIT B ,MMS JBIMS), IIT MBA retired Managing Director of a public limited consultancy organization. Having rich experience spanning over 30 years in reputed companies like Great Eastern Shipping, L&T, DEMPOs and Church gate Nigeria. Mr. D. Lakshmaiah, Honorary Treasurer, welcomed the speaker and gathering. Mr. P. Srinivas Rao, Vice Chairman introduced Speaker to the gathering and Mr. M.S. Shankar Narayanan, Branch Chairman presided over the program. Mr. V. Krishna, Speaker given presentation and discussed on Strategic Issues in Shipping, Types of Shipping, Growth & Expansion Strategy, Forex Management etc. Mr. K.V. Sudhindra, Honorary Secretary proposed vote of thanks. Program was well appreciated by the members attended in good crowd.

Mohan, Sr. Faculty. He also involved participants in Case Studies and design thinking on high technologies Application.
On 17th February 2017 session on Technologies –ERP solution for ware house and logistics management handled by Mr. Pruthvi Kaushik, Director E-Fleet Management Services and Mr. Jagadish G. Vasishta, Director, Data wood Consulting Pvt. Ltd. Session on Innovative in Supply Chain Management handled by Mr. P. Srinivas Rao, Sr. Faculty of IIMM. Post Lunch session on Emerging trends in Supply Chain Management handled by Mr. H.R.T. Chari, Distinguished Member and Sr. Faculty of IIMM and other Management Institution.

IIMM, Bangalore Branch organized Monthly Lecture Program on “Impact of GST on various Sectors” for the benefit of IIMM Members & Students. Presentation given by one the YMM (Young Materials Manager) Contestants Bangalore Team, who participated in YMM, held at Hyderabad – On the occasion of NATCOM 2016 in Nov 2016 : Mr. Venkat Ramesh, Hawe Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd. – Bangalore and Mr. Akash Kumar Gupta, ISRO – Bangalore. Given presentation on issues of present taxation, cascading effect, Customs duty on Import, GST on import, talked on GST ECO System, Scope of GST and detailed presentation given how get set ready for “Registration” etc. Mr. M.S. Shankar Narayanan, Branch Chairman welcomed the gathering. The lecture program was very interesting with lively interaction by members, participated in good numbers.
After the lecture presentation award certification program was organised for Students who have successfully completed in Six months Certificate Course on Supply Chain, Logistics and Materials Management Courses. Mr. C.L. Kapoor, Past National President and Branch Advisor and Mr. M.S. Shankar Narayanan, Branch Chairman awarded certificates to the successful candidates. The entire program was very well co-ordinated by Mr. S. Subhash, as a MC.
