The Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) is the national apex body representing a wide spectrum of professionals engaged in various facets of materials management, responsible for planning, sourcing, and logistics under supply chain concepts.
IIMM has objective to secure a wider recognition and promote the importance of efficient materials management in commercial and industrial undertakings; to safeguard and elevate the professional status of individuals engaged in materials management faculty; to constantly impart advanced professional knowledge and thus improve the skill of the person engaged in the materials management function.
IIMM is the only professional body representing Materials and Supply Chain Management in India for over three decades that offers courses approved by the DEC, Govt. of India. IIMM is affiliated to the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM), Headquartered in Hampshire, UK. IIMM has a strength of over 10,000 members in 50 branches and 19 chapters across India. The member body consists of executives from the Public & Private sector organizations, Armed forces, and Academia.
IIMM offers graduate and post-graduate courses in Materials and Supply Chain Management such as GDMM, PGDMM. Additionally, the Institute offers international courses such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (ISM, USA) and International Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management in association with International Trade Centre, Geneva.
IIMM offers – Corporate In-house training Programmes, Management Development Programmes, Consultancy research Opportunities, Evening Seminars, Professional Knowledge Sharing and Networking Events and also conducts unique Quiz competition called MATQUIZ to nurture & test domain knowledge on materials management & Supply Chain Management.
